Our Beliefs

The Godhead

We believe God is the creator and ruler of the universe and exists eternally as three co-equal persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, never-changing, completely trustworthy, holy, and besides Him there is no other God (Isaiah 43:10).

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He lived a completely sinless human life and is the only person to be completely human and completely God. He was crucified on a cross, dying in our place for our sins so that we may be reconciled with God. After three days He rose from the dead to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He is the way, the truth, and the life,  and the only way to the Father. (John 14:6).

Holy Spirit

We believe The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He lives in every believer from the moment of salvation, guides believers into all truth (John 16:13) and convicts people of their sin (John 16:8). He comforts us (John 14:16), gives us spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12), and makes us more like Christ.

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the infallible and inerrant word of God, complete and sufficient in all respects. We believe the Scriptures to be “God-breathed” and essential in understanding the origin of man, the nature of God, the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, and the role of the believer (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We believe the word of God is the final authority for Christian faith and practice.

The Church

We believe Jesus Christ established His Church, which is made up of those redeemed to the Father by faith in Him. The Church is the family of God, essential in the life of all believers, and fellowship should not be neglected (Hebrews 10:25). Church is Jesus’ representation on earth and is tasked with sharing the gospel message of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18) and making disciples as commanded by the Lord Jesus prior to His ascension (Matthew 28:18-20). The church is made full and complete by Christ (Ephesians 1:23).

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift given by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8). God, in His mercy, gives eternal life to those who repent of their sins and believe in the finished work of Christ on the cross and His ressurection. Salvation is not a result of works less anyone should boast. It is a free gift of God. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit was carried out at Pentecost. It is available to all believers and empowers us for service, for witnessing, for spiritual warfare, and for boldness in our testimony. While all believers are sealed with the Holy Spirit at salvation (Ephesians 1:13), the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a distinct experience that fills us with His supernatural power (Acts 1:8).
